1. Influence of tool processing: There are many small spikes on the cutting edge of the tool after normal grinding. These spikes are sharp but fragile and easy to break. The cutting force is added after the small spike at the rear is cracked. The width of the cutting edge band of the tool during grinding should be strictly controlled within 0.1-0.2mm.

 


2. The influence of the cutting gap of the elastomer pelletizer: the so-called cutting gap is the gap between the moving knives. In a certain range of cutting the gap is large, the required cutting force is small; on the other hand, the cutting force is large, the tool wear is also large; according to the experience, the cutting gap is controlled between 0.03~0.04mm, which can ensure the necessary cutting force and can get qualified slices. 4. Influence of titanium dioxide content on chip quality: titanium dioxide is a matting agent in polyester production and an indispensable additive in chemical fiber production. When the content of titanium dioxide is added, the life of the tool decreases sharply. Without affecting the quality of polyester products, the pelletizer should maintain a reasonable injection amount when injecting titanium dioxide.
